Basic Life Support (BLS) - Health Care Provider Recertification

If you are a health care provider who needs to be recertified for Basic Life Support, this class is for you.  You must be currently certified through the American Heart Association in order to renew your certification. Please remember to bring your current certification card to class.

Upon completion of this refresher course, you will take a hands-on skills test and a written exam.  You will receive a two-year renewal card once you pass both tests.

An instruction book is not included in this class.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class so we can begin on time.  If you arrive more than 10 minutes after class begins, we will not admit you to the classroom.  You will need to reschedule for another BLS Recertification session.

Beaumont Baby Fairs

Discover what’s new at Beaumont’s 13th Annual Baby Fair.  For your convenience, this year’s fair will be held on three different Saturdays in locations throughout the community.

Come learn more about your baby’s health, postpartum adjustment and important parenting issues during the three-hour event.  Informational, interactive displays will feature breast-feeding equipment and supplies; children’s clothes and educational toys; resources available at local libraries and county health departments.

During the fair, Beaumont will feature:

  • Family Affair (baby items including hard-to-find preemie necessities and nursing bra fittings)
  • Prenatal and postpartum education and fitness classes
  • Parenting Program, an award-winning program that supports new families
  • Center for Human Development

 You may attend mini-classes on:

  • making your own baby food
  • relieving infant and child choking
  • learning new comfort measures to assist with your labor
  • massaging your baby
  • caring for your infant

Whether you are just thinking about getting pregnant, already expecting or a family with young children, you are invited to attend the Baby Fair.  It is fun, informative and you may win a gift.  Prize drawings are held hourly.
